Company History

Ken Garner Engineering, Inc.
Ken Garner Engineering, Inc.'s modest beginnings were launched with another engineering firm by the name of James Graham and Associates. Kenneth D. Garner, PE was the branch manager of the JGA Salt Lake City branch for three years. Ken was presented with the exciting opportunity to purchase the Salt Lake City branch and in September of 2005, Ken Garner Engineering, Inc. was born with six loyal employees. Our years with James D. Graham in Salt Lake City were a success and we continue to enjoy a friendly relationship with our predecessor.

Today, Ken Garner Engineering, Inc. has grown into a larger family of sixteen employees and have been involved in countless exciting new projects for many local and out of state clients. From the beginning, the staff at Ken Garner Engineering, Inc. have been dedicated to making this company a dynamic, reliable, service oriented engineering firm. We enjoy every opportunity to better understand our clients needs and desires for their projects. Even in the hard economic times, we are optimistic about the present and eager to embrace what the future holds.

President

With eighteen years of electrical engineering experience Ken Garner brings strong communication skills and a commitment to proactive project management to every project. He is highly experienced in all aspects of underground and overhead electrical distribution design, electrical design, lighting design, telecommunications, fire alarm and sprinkler design. With a strong background in building renovations, Ken is well versed in the often complicated details involved in the restoration and preservation of existing buildings. His experience has included higher education, hospitals and clinics high tech, schools, and commercial projects.

Associate Principal

With ten years of experience in Electrical Engineering and his degree in power and transformer design, Sasa brings cutting edge knowledge of electrical products to the client. His expertise includes fire alarm and security design for educational, commercial, industrial, cultural, and recreational facilities. He is experienced managing large projects.

Associate Principal

Chris has worked on many science building projects, ranging from engineering and geology to bio-manufacturing; he has a strong grasp of the 'unwritten' standards. He is experienced in electrical design, telecommunications design, lighting design, medium voltage, power design, audio/video design, security systems design, and fire alarm design. Chris is currently managing four LEED projects and has a special interest in Sustainable Design.

Project Manager

With eleven years experience in electrical engineering, lighting design, and construction administration services. Paris is a highly experienced and innovative Project Manger. Paris serves as CAD Manager for a team of CAD Design Professionals, developing all of our office standards. Paris is directly responsible for ensuring that the CAD work is done to national CAD standards. Paris' experience has included public, community facilities, office facilities, higher education, hospitals and clinics, high tech, schools, and commercial projects.

Project Manager

Graduate of the University of Utah in Electrical Engineering.

Trevor has a great understanding of design and has the ability to get the job done to the client's satisfaction. Trevor brings strong communication skills and proactive project management to all of his projects. He is experienced in electrical design, lighting design, and fire alarm design.

Project Manager

With 9 years of experience in the electrical consulting industry and graduate of the University of Utah in Electrical Engineering, Clayton has a great understanding of design and project management. Clayton brings strong communication skills and proactive project management to all of his projects. He is experienced in electrical design, lighting design, telecommunications and fire alarm design. Having managed a branch office at a previous engineering firm for 5 years, Clayton understands and can manage the various challenges that occur on projects.

Project Manager

Aleksandar is a graduate of the University of Novi Sad, Serbia. He holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.

Aleksandar has three strong years of experience and a great understanding of design. Aleksandar applies strong proactive project management skills to all of his projects, ensuring customer satisfaction. He is experienced in electrical design, lighting design, medium voltage, power design and fire alarm design.
